I got this quick donut idea from a very special friend when my children were young.
Take a package of refrigerator biscuits and flatten each biscuit out and shape a hole in the middle so it looks like a donut. Cook in hot oil until brown on both sides. Remove from oil and drain a wee bit on paper towel. Take a brown paper bag and put some sugar in it. (The kids loved doing this next step): Drop the biscuit donuts into the bag with sugar and shake. Remove donuts to a plate and enjoy! You can also frost these donuts with your favorite icing instead of sugaring them.
